Procedure for applying for a temporary driving permit

1.选择办理地点申领临时机动车驾驶许可

Select a location to apply for a temporary driving permit

办理地点与办理时间如下：

The locations and processing time are as follows:

（1）大兴国际机场车管服务站

地址：北京大兴国际机场航站楼二层国内到达西出口向西100米

办理时间：周一至周日9:00-16:00（国家法定节假日除外）

The vehicle management office of Beijing Daxing International Airport

Address: 100 meters west of the Domestic Arrival, second floor, Beijing Daxing International Airport Terminal Building

Processing time: 9:00 to 16:00, Monday to Sunday (except national holidays)

（2）首都机场T3航站楼一层车管服务站

办理时间：周一至周五8:30至11:30，13:30至16:30。周六日及节假日不办公。

Vehicle Service Office of the T3 Terminal of Beijing Capital International Airport

Processing time: 8:30 to 11:30, 13:30 to 16:30, Monday to Friday (closed on Saturdays, Sundays and national holidays)

（3）北京市公安局交管局车辆管理所总所和分所

办理时间：周一至周五8:30to18:00，周六、日9:00to16:00（国家法定节假日除外）

2.准备以下材料

Prepare the following documents

（1）外国人入境时所持护照

The foreign passport used for entry.

（2）境外驾驶证原件和由翻译机构出具或公证机构公证的中文翻译文本

The original copy of an overseas driver's license and its Chinese translation document issued by a translation agency or a notary agency.

（3）2张1寸白底彩色照片

Two 1-inch color photos taken against a white background.

3.缴纳驾驶证工本费10元，等待10分钟左右即可领取临时机动车驾驶许可。

Pay the license fee of CNY 10 and wait for about 10 minutes to receive the temporary motor vehicle driving permit.

注意事项：

Notice

1.临时机动车驾驶许可有效期：在中国境内短期停留的外国机动车驾驶人，临时进入中华人民共和国境内不超过三个月，可以申请有效期为3个月临时机动车驾驶许可；停居留时间超过3个月的，临时机动车驾驶许可有效期可以延长至1年。

Validity period of a temporary driving permit:Any foreign motor vehicle driver staying temporarily in China for no more than three months can apply for a temporary driving permit valid for three months. If the stay period exceeds three months, the validity period of the permit can be extended to one year.

2.临时驾驶许可的准驾车型为小型汽车 C1或者小型自动挡汽车C2，只限驾驶租赁车辆。

Temporary driving permit is for rented small car (C1) or small automatic car (C2) only.

3.临时机动车驾驶许可应当与所持境外机动车驾驶证及其中文翻译同时使用。

Each temporary motor vehicle driving permit shall be used together with the overseas motor vehicle driving license and its corresponding Chinese translation.
